Weddings

Enys Gardens are said to be the oldest gardens in Cornwall giving them an air of romance and mystique which you can feel as soon as you arrive. You can hold both your wedding ceremony and/or your reception for up to 120 people. Quite a lot of our couples book Enys for the afternoon and evening and hold a blessing in the gardens then a party inside the old Mansion House. The options for your wedding are endless, making it the perfect venue for a creative couple. Please visit our Weddings Facebook page to find out more!

Ceremonies

We have three areas inside the old manor house that are licenced for weddings – the Drawing Room, the Library and the Hall.

Outside you can get married down at the Broadwalk which runs along the outside of the walled garden with a thatched shelter at the far end or at the Summerhouse Border, another smaller area with a thatched shelter overlooking acres of parkland. The other option is the Old Tennis Court which is a large flat area of lawn surrounded by majestic, mature trees.

We also cater for elopement style weddings where it’s just the two of you for a magical, intimate  style ceremony. Please get in touch for more information and a price list.

The Mansion House

The derelict yet enchanting Georgian Mansion House was built in the 1830’s. The main part of the house is over two levels featuring a hall with an impressive curved staircase under an overhead lantern that allows natural light to fill the large open space.

In addition to the hall the ground floor also features three large reception rooms (dining room, library and drawing room) with high ceilings and beautiful, grand windows overlooking the front lawn & neighbouring parkland.

The rustic and stripped back walls of the Mansion House makes it the perfect backdrop for couples to create a unique space for their wedding ceremony and reception.

The Gardens

There are 30 acres of tranquil gardens at Enys, you can use as much or as little of it as you wish. Different areas are at their best at different times of the year, but the most breathtaking feature is Parc Lye which is covered with bluebells in May. If you’d prefer a wedding later on in the season the Orchard comes to life in September, and the Pinetum is perfect for a woodland celebration at any time of the year. Another favourite is the meadow walk, which is a meandering path cut into a large area full of ox-eye daises  in June.

The Feast

We have limited catering facilities on site which leaves you free to book whoever you wish to create your wedding breakfast or if you like you can bring your own.

Because the rooms are so spacious we can seat up to 50 people in each, the drawing room and library being linked by double doors.  We offer a full bar service free of charge or if you prefer you can BYO alcohol for either a one off charge of £1000 or if you just want to BYO wine/fizz we can charge corkage per bottle.

The Party

The house comes to life after dark, we usually use the dining room for the live music or DJ in the evening but you are also welcome to hire a marquee and make the most of the stunning surroundings. We will take care of the bar and any extras that you might want to hire.
