Comic & Movie Fest 2026Mayhem at the Manor is a family-friendly weekend for all ages on 15th–16th August, raising funds for True Butterflies Foundation. Join us for a two-day celebration of costume, movies and games designed for all ages, a true festival and celebration of TV and film, bringing together imagination, creativity and community.Whether you’re a lifelong collector, a dedicated cosplayer/ costumer, a passionate lover of puzzles and games, a movie enthusiast, or bringing children to their very first event, this is a welcoming and inclusive weekend for everyone. Bring your friends and family as you step into a world where Stormtroopers roam, superheroes strike poses and creativity comes to life.Across both days you can explore specialist areas including Fantasy, LARP, Gaming, Superheroes, Star Wars and more, each packed with immersive displays and interactive experiences designed to inspire fans of every generation. Enjoy cosplay/ costumer showcases and competitions, a diverse range of traders and artists, engaging panels and talks, professional photo opportunities, and live entertainment running throughout the weekend. This event proudly raises funds for True Butterflies Foundation, supporting children and families affected by domestic abuse through therapy, mentoring and creative workshops, including their transformative cosplay build programme. Once upon a time, children’s words began to vanish…slipping away like water on stone. Dandelion gone. Kingfisher gone. Conker gone. Inspired by The Lost Words by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris, Cscape’s Quest for the Lost Words takes families on a fun, imaginative adventure to find these missing words and bring them back to life. Quest for the Lost Words is a joyful blend of dance, storytelling, music, celebrating the wild world and the species we risk forgetting.
Using captivating music from Matt Thomason and The People’s String Foundation, and voiced by the magnetic Sue Hill (Wildworks / Kneehigh) this heart‑warming production rekindles wonder, sparks curiosity and invites audiences of all ages to step into a re‑wilded landscape where lost words return home. A reminder that every word — and every species — matters.🌳Garden entry included 2 hours before performance time.
🧺This is an outdoor performance, dress for the weather, seating is on grass, so bring a cushion, deckchair and a picnic if you fancy but there will be a BBQ - weather permitting.Performances at 2pm and 6pm: booking here!

Miracle Theatre bring their magical twist and love of laughter to the classic tale of Peer Gynt.
Miracle take to the road once again for a summer of outdoor performances across the southwest. Founded in 1979 the company has a reputation for being playful and entertaining and this summer's show is no exception.
Young Peer is a lazy dreamer who wildly misinterprets William Shakespeare’s advice “To thine own self be true” to mean “look after number one.”
Chasing pleasure, riches and reputation, Peer blunders his way through life fuelled by bravado, bad decisions and endless excuses.
Surely this can only end badly…?Loosely based on Henrik Ibsen’s epic comic poem, this famous morality tale is perfect material for Miracle Theatre's highly visual style: physical, funny, surreal and deeply human. Expect a riotous journey through a dream-like world of Norse mythology, peopled with cranky characters, trolls and other bizarre creatures. A comedy of terrors.
